Chemical Company is one of three Engine Companies in the Garden City Fire Department. Along with the members of Engine Company & Headquarters Company they are tasked with extinguishing the fire with the use of water and other conventional means.

Chemical Company duties include gaining a water supply at the scene of the incident; often by hooking up to a hydrant; as well as stretching hose lines to operate inside the fire building.

Members in Chemical Company take a number of training courses throughout the year to keep the skills sharp. They include Hose Stretching Exercises, MPO (Motor Pump Operator Training); Stand-by Connection; Search & Rescue Techniques.
